Q: Can the IntelliGym® be run on a PSP, Wii, iPad, or other gaming or mobile device?

No. The Hockey IntelliGym is not a game, it is a software-based training program. Due to the nature of cognitive training, a keyboard and mouse must be utilized to increase the effectiveness of the training, by stimulating the brain further with complex motor skills in addition to visual cues and variable objectives. As of this time, the platform has only been developed to run on Windows or Mac computers/laptops.

Q: Can it be installed and run on more than one computer?

Yes. Since the account details are kept on the server, the user can sign in from any computer with his user name and password. The number of installations is unlimited. To install the program, use the Hockey IntelliGym® Installation Page .

Q: Is the training program designed for right-handed as well as left-handed players?

Yes. It should be noted that the hand played on the ice is not necessarily the one used to write or to be dominant in brain workout. It is important that the athlete would feel comfortable handling the controls of the training environment. The program allows right-hand mode (default) as well as a lefty mode for the keyboard and mouse settings. The keyboard setting for both hands can be found here .

Q: How can a player access their progress reports?

The training data is collected on the IntelliGym ® servers and is available for the athlete, parent, and coach by visiting www.usahockeyintelligym.com and choosing the Members Area link at the top. Here all of the athlete's progress and performance data are kept.

Q: Is the Hockey IntelliGym® limited to a particular level of player?

No, The tool has been proven to improve performance at all ages and skill levels provided the athletes have solid fundamentals in place. A trainee that is new to the game can benefit, as will athletes at the professional level, as well as forwards, defense, and goalies.
